Concert – One People Many Voices

When: Wednesday, August 7, 2013, 7:30 PM

Where: Pollak Theater at Monmouth University, 400 Cedar Avenue in West Long Branch

What: Jersey Shore Jewish Music will be presenting its first concert “One People Many Voices: Celebrating a World of Jewish Music”. This eclectic concert unites Monmouth County’s diverse groups of Jewish heritage into an extravaganza of world music featuring Syrian, Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) and Klezer song traditions. Israeli and Middle Eastern singer Yohai Cohen, backed by an Arabic music ensemble, is the evening’s featured soloist.  Also featured is the Jersey Shore’s own Shir Mishugas Jewish music group.  Cantor, composer and conductor Jeffrey DiLucca leads Shir Mishugas in Ladino songs and in Klezmner music originating in the Ashkenazi Jewish communities of Eastern Europe. Tickets are $18.

Kidz Bop

What: Kidz Bop is a live concert for kids, by kids.  You can rock out to your favorite songs with a cast of kids that are sure to amaze you.  General Admission tickets are $20 VIP passes are $49.99

Ford EcoBoost Challenge

Electric Yoga Experience

What: Over 600 yogis are proudly coming together for a mindblowing yoga and meditation session all in the name of hunger relief. Participants will warm up with a relaxing, professionally guided yoga & meditation session, before firing up with a high-octane zumba dance party an out-of-this-world light show complete with mesmerizing music,  amazing giveaways and much more.  Over 40 local vendors will be in attendance, showcasing their products and services at this one of a kind fitness  event. Proceeds from the event will support Move For Hunger’s relief efforts right here in New Jersey and all over the United States.
